Here is a fast rundown of what World Of Warcraft  mining is all about:

Mining in World Of Warcraft is best combined with the following other professions: Blacksmithing, Jewel-crafting or Engineering as some of the material you collect in mining can be used then for the other selected profession.

Asother players in World Of Warcraft are possibly to impatient or could not be bothered with actually mining the materials themselves, this means you can gather up the resources or materials and sell them to some players via the auction house. That’s one good way of making some gold.What will you be mining for? When you mine you will dig up stones, metals and gems out. All of these are needed as well by the other mentioned professions that go well with mining.You can also gain mining materials from monsters that you have maybe killed.

As you know ,gathering professions can be very time consuming, so many players choose just buying the mining items that they need from the auction house.You are going to have to get your hands a little dirty though if you are not have tons of gold as the buying the mining materials option will seriously need plenty of gold. Remember to read my gold making tips on my WoW gold guide page mentioned at the start of the article.

Here is a list of what is required to start mining:

1.First you must be trained in mining by a local mining trainer
2.Go purchase a pick from your local merchant
3.A pair of the cheapest gloves you can locate and then get them enchanted with a +5 mining skill enchant which should cost round 2 gold..
4.An engineer can create you a mining helmet or you can buy one from the auction house. This will give you +5 to your mining as well.
5.Go and acquire a mineral vein to mine, I will show you where on the second page of my mining guide below.

Note: The gloves and helmet that I mentioned are optional accessories but are highly recommended to increase your chance while mining.

Horde players go to Vengeance Landing, Howling Fjord and locate Jonathan Lewis.
Alliance players head on over to Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra and look for Fendrig Redbeard or you can search for  Grumbol Stoutpick in Valgarde, Howling Fjord.

OR Both factions can head on over to Dalaran and look for Jedidiah Handers in the Magus Commerce Exchange.
