Gaming Racing Seat
We tested the VisionRacer Gaming Seats (VR3′s) we bought head-to-head in our Demonstration Centre over the past 2 months so we can give an honest review of the system and experience, and we had a hard time keeping the staff off them! This ‘gaming revolution’ isn’t just another gaming chair, or gaming rocker – its the high end of gaming systems for the ultimate experience, combining playability and realism. Home entertainment is about the experience, and this is what VisionRacer delivers.
To really test the system, we installed the Logitech G25 steering wheel which delivers the ultimate in force feedback, and if you combine that with a good set of speakers to deliver the bass, then you have the ultimate machine. The VR3 racing seat is as expensive as it is fast, not for the feint hearted – but hey, its one hell of an experience. Gaming Rockers are fantastic, and a great laugh at the same time – but VisionRacer has the edge. If you are using a PS3, you’re realistically limited to 1 LCD (3 for a PC), and you’ll need a good set of speakers for either, noting that we used Logitech during our trials. Invest the few extra $$$ and upgrade your speakers and LCD screen, you’ll notice the difference. The VR3 is the ultimate gaming seat, so dont go cheap on the accessories. It’s times like this where professional consultancy and installation has to be considered to get the most out of the system. At Gaming Seat we can provide home installation, supply and support if required. After playing for hours on end we found that we weren’t suffering from stiff joints or otherwise. The VisionRacer is sturdy and comfortable, whilst realistic at the same time. The effort and design that has gone into the VisionRacer is obvious, which is why the product is so good. The VisionRacer fitted with gear shift control and force feedback steering wheel is fantastic – a neccessary combination. The VisionRacer is currently under testing in a 3 Screen PC configuration running the G25 steering wheel (which is PC and PS3 Compatible). If you are undecided between the PS3 and PC as the engine, the steering wheel compatibility for PC’s and PS3′s is a useful consideration, which the G25 is. the only negative here, and believe me we are clutching at straws here, was the adjustability of the seat for young children. As far as gaming seats go, this is the top of our xmas list to take home. The VisionRacer will do the Racing Game industry, what the Wii did to Console Games…its all good.
