Farmville can be confusing to the newcomers. However, it is rather simple once you have played a couple of times.

Six Buttons in the Lower Right of Your Computer Screen

The Multi-Tool
The multi-tool button is by far the most valuable and you will normally like to have your cursor set to this. Click on the one that looks like your regular mouse cursor to set your cursor to the multi-tool. It is the first button there. The multi-tool will then transform into whatever you will generally need. It is a harvesting tool, if you move your mouse above a regular crop. It is a plow tool if you move your mouse above a fallow ground.

The Plow Tool
The plow tool is the second button on the top row, the one that looks like a green hoe. You will use this tool to create new fields and plow fallow ground to get it ready to plant.

The Shovel
Be really cautious that you do not start clicking around when your cursor is changed to this tool! You will begin to delete things around your farm—anything you click on will show this message:

“ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DELETE “(item’s name)”?” Click

The Market
You will be able to locate a button with a tomato and pepper on it with the text MARKET. Just look at the lower right part of your computer screen. It will transport you to the Market when you click it. You can purchase things at the Market. Pictures of the seeds that you want to buy and a price underneath can be seen at the Market. It will also tell you how much xp a crop or tree gives you and the price of harvest from one square of land will be. Each square of land take 1 unit of seeds, the price that you see in the Market. Items indicated as LOCKED are inaccessible to you at this time because of your level. You will unlock other items as you level up. The Market has tabs for Seeds, Trees, Animals, Buildings, Decorations, Expand Farm, and Vehicles. Look at some of the items that you might want to buy. If you want to figure out what you want to plant, you’ll spend the most time surfing through the seed catalog.

Ribbons
See the button with the blue ribbon? That’s your Ribbons segment which keeps track of all your achievements. Scroll through and take a look if you would like to know what you need in order to collect the next color of ribbon for an achievement or just feel proud about your achievements.

Buttons at the Uppermost Part of the Screen
You can see three brown buttons stacked on top of each other at the distant upper left of the screen. They will display a message to show you what they control when you hover your mouse above them:

• Eye: toggles quality of graphics
• Speaker: turns the sound on or off
• Musical Note: Turns music on and off

Next, if you continue to your right, you will spot a green button with a stack of gold coins next to it. It will display the amount of Farm Coins you currently have. It will fluctuate with your purchases and harvests.

You can see a blue button with a plus sign, marked “ADD COINS & CASH” below the green button. It takes you to a page where you can buy Farm Coins and Cash with real money so do not click on this button.

On the Extreme right, the blue button on the extreme right shows you how much Farm Cash you have. Each time you move to another level you will get one Farm Cash.

Your xp bar, blue with a star attached to it can be seen in the middle of your upper screen. As you earn points through various farming activities, the bar fill up with with experience.

The small brown button with the speech bubble attached to it will enable you to leave a message in the middle of your farm for your neighbors. It’s a wonderful way to leave requests or showing appreciation.

The name of your farm is at the distant right of your screen. It should say (your name)’s Farm. Right now, you cannot change the name of your farm.

As we all know, Bangkok will be the next Mafia Wars expansion.

Prior to the opening of the territory and being allowed to travel to it, players have to collect 3 loot items from other areas of the game. Once the territory if open and ready players will have to choose which side they are going to join, the Yakuza or the Triads, both of which are organized crime syndicates in Japan. The side players choose will determine the jobs they do to progress in the game.

Loot Items Required
In order to be ready for the release of Bangkok, players must locate three loot items. Once these items are in their possession they will be given their passport to travel. The passport will not be sent to players until Bangkok opens for business. The loot items needed are:
* Triad Coin
* Yakuza Sake
* Thai Note
The jobs they can be looted from are:
* NY – Soldier
* NY – Enforcer
* NY – Hitman
Players can find the loot items by doing the jobs on these levels that are marked with a golden elephant. It may take several times doing the job to acquire the item but once it is acquired a notification displayed showing it has been added to the Bangkok list of necessary items.

Choosing Sides

Zynga offers little information on how to choose sides other than the message on the Bangkok home page statement concerning the fight for control of criminal markets of Thailand. To help choose sides, some background information on their behaviors and typical activities can be useful.

The Yakuza

The Yakuza’s origin in Japanese syndicated crime traces back to the 17th century. According to Miyuki Sundara of the Organized Crime Registry the Yakuza are an all male organized crime group. Their activities include blackmail, illegal gambling, casinos, prostitution and smuggling. These activities will be what the jobs in game play will be based upon.

The Triads

Originally the Triads started as a resistance to the Manchurian Emperor. According to the website Gangland.net their name comes from the unity of the Three Harmonies Society, the union of Heaven, Earth and Man. Criminal activities included counterfeiting money and later counterfeiting products such as watches and other pricey items, as technology advanced they added pornography and piracy.

Both the Triads and the Yakuza are powerful crime syndicates that control the underground world in Bangkok. When starting as a warlock, the talent build is one thing that you need to set right first because it will affect the rest of your warlock’s life. Just like other classes, you can focus on one of the three talent trees; for this warlock guide, I will focus on affliction warlock.

Affliction Warlock
This type of Warlock focus on DoT (Damage over Time) to destroy their adversaries while mixing some  talents from other tree such as Demonic Embrace to increase survivability. Haunt is your bread and butter spell; it comes with three devastating effects: shadow damage, raising all DoT damage, and add the damage dealt to your health; complement it with Life Tap and you will get a killer combination. These are other talents that you need to get:

1. Improved Curse of Agony; increase this spell damage by 10%
2. Suppression; increase hit % and reduce mana cost.
3. Improved Corruption; increase your corruption damage by 10%.
4. Improved Drain Soul; return 15% mana when you kill using Drain Soul.
5. Amplify Curse; reduce curse’s cooldown.
6. Fel Concentration; just to open the next talent.
7. Nightfall; a gateway to Shadow Trance state.
8. Empowered Corruption; increase your corruption spell.
9. Shadow Embrace; good for DPS and debuff.
10. Siphon Life; kinda like Vampiric effects back in Warcraft 3.
11. Improved Felhunter; regain mana ability for your pet, good when pairing with Dark Pact.
12. Shadow Mastery; increase your Shadow spell damage or life drain by 15%.
13. Eradication; chance to increase spell casting speed.
14. Contagion; power up your DoT and make it even harder to debuff.
15. Dark Pact; our other mana source, take it by draining from your pet.
16. Malediction; increase your spell damage by 3% and increase periodic critical strike chance.
17. Death Embrace; makes you even more powerful at near death state (health below 20%) by adding drain life and damage bonus; the last one will make the fight shorter.
18. Unstable Affliction; great DoT spell and nice present for anyone try to dispell it.
19. Pandemic; adding critical rate to your DoT.
20. Everlasting Affliction; reset the duration of your Corruption spells on the target, one of the best Warlock talent.

Mix some Demonology talents:

1. Improved Healthstone; improve the effect of your healthstone, just for filler.
2. Demonic Embrace; increase your survivability against AoE attack.
3. Fel Vitality; raise the stats of your pet, thus very useful for Dark Pact.

There are many variations even among the Affliction focused tree itself; other World of Warcraft Warlock guide may suggest different Warlock talent build such as mixing Shadow Bolt to make better use of Nightfall talent, adding Immolate, etc. For the PvP version of affliction warlock build, check pvp guide for warlock.
