My doctor said that a lot of acne medications break you out badly at the beginning and can take 6-8 weeks to see results. Why?

Because i think they are clearing ur pores so….they bring the dirt to the surface? I am not sure why…i really like Clean and Clear persa gel the best…thats my favorite

It’s like a facial. All the impurities have to come out first till it’s cleaned out (the impurities being the pimples). Then great skin. Also skin can get irritated by what is being used on it and needs to get use to the medication.

because it has chemicals that usually burn and shock the skin, then eventually overtime weaken the skin so that you break out all the time

Benzoyl peroxide can cause premature skin aging, slow healing and is associated with increased skin cancer risks. In 1995 the FDA issued warnings regarding the use of benzoyl peroxide and changed its status from safe to uncertain.

I heard that they speed up the life of the pimples so they die quicker. I was always told that treatment will always make acne worse and then it gets better
