There are many different types of skin care product available. And there are all sorts of claims made by the manufacturers of skin care products. How many are true? All organic skin care products that we shop for need to be of top standards.

There was even skin care in prehistoric times. There have been early examples of skin care products throughout history. This is the same for the history of perfume and cologne.

The primary reason for using skin care products is to take care of our skin. Skin care products are a method of protecting our skin and as a means of damage control. The environmental impact of toxins on our skin is great come we can alleviate this with skin care products.

Skin care products and history

Throughout history farmers and fishermen have used skin care products to protect their skin from the environment.

The fisherman especially needs to take protection against freezing sea, wind, and rain, which will all take a toll on exposed skin. The weather also takes its toll on the farmer working in the fields. Now, in the past there were no such things as shop bought skin care products so I would imagine that’s the fisherman and farmer could protect their face and hands with natural products.

It doesn’t take much imagination to conjure up images of what kind of protection the farmer and the fishermen would use, for instance the fisherman might have used some whale blubber.The farmer in the fishermen would have to do what they needed to do but at least it was all natural.

Is very difficult to hold any belief in the miracle cures that most skin care product manufacturers are telling us. Are we doing ourselves more harm than good with all the chemicals that are in today’s skin care products? And it can be said of hair care products Natural skin care products offer us an alternative to the chemical laden offerings of the top manufacturers, we are getting enough chemicals toxins into our skins from the environment.
