Any Starbucks workers out there?

Is Starbucks a decent place to get a part-time job for a 32 year old? What’s the pay like? Is it easy to learn how to operate those espresso machines?

I used to be a manager at Starbucks Coffee. They have a very good training program, and the new “801″ espresso machines are fairly automated anyway… all you need to do is remember the ingredients of the drinks. As for pay, it’s about what you’d expect for a job of that sort, but weekly tips are divided amongst store employees (partners) according to number of hours worked. At a really good store, tips could be as high as $5/hour in addition to you Starbucks paycheck (I know of one store that can get as high as $10/hr). Try to find a job at a busy store in a nice area of town.
