T-Fal Banquet Non-Stick 3 Piece Fry Pan Set, Grey Reviews

I really like the way that these pans hold up and nothing sticks to them. They are sturdy and really easy to clean.

The only con is that I actually don't need all 3 in everyday life. I use the smallest one for eggs or simple cooking. The largest one for fried rice and etc. I haven't used the middle one, yet, but the quality of these pans are very good, which is not surprising for t-fal. The design is a lot better than in the picture they show here. I think for three pans is a wonderful deal!
Oh, by the way, you need to boil some water in them before you use them for the first time. They kinda smell bad in the beginning.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10- and 12-Inch Omelet Pans, Set of 2 Reviews

I purchased a two pack of the 8 and 10" skillets from Macy's this past summer. All my pans work great. I find they are a bit like cast iron. Once they heat up (on medium), they retain their heat and cook evenly. I use medium heat, and can often get by with med-low. No warping or flaking yet. (The key is to not use any more heat than necessary - excessive high heat can ruin most skillets) I also got a griddle which is the Calphalon One Infused Anodized - their top line. I love it as well, and would purchase either again. I went mostly with the Contemporary line due to lower price. Be sure to read the packaging to see what line you are getting, as they have several lines out there. There is the 'infused anodized' and the 'hard anodized', nonstick and without the nonstick, etc.
Check out their website for more information.

These pans have excellent heavy bottoms. I don't have too many gripes, except it would have been nice if the handles were welded to the outside instead of being bolted in. Stuff will stick to the bolts.
I just cook neater and avoid the bolts, and I'm fine.
We use these pans for literally EVERYTHING that can be cooked on a stovetop!
SHIPPING was SUPER FAST!!!
*** UPDATE *** September 10, 2008
Excellent product UNTIL we had guests who "helped us" clean up and put them in our super heavy duty dishwasher... After that, the finish was never the same. I have ALWAYS hand washed my non stick pans. I'm afraid the trip through the dishwasher killed them. Now, our dishwasher is brutal, much more harsh than the average dishwasher, i have to admit.
We still use them, I'm a fan of the heavy bottoms and even distribution of heat. But now, I have to use cooking spray to keep food particles from sticking

Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan
Grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes, and a host of other appetizing foods can be cooked on a griddle. Anodized aluminum is fabulous for conducting heat quickly and evenly, while the non-stick surface of this piece cleans like a dream. The sides of this 10-inch nonstick griddle are low and slope gently, so your crêpes slide out without falling apart and your pancakes flip easily. No matter what you're cooking, you're guaranteed quick and even heat distribution, easy food release, and simple cleaning, thanks to the pan's three layers: an aluminum core, a hard-anodized exterior, and a reinforced nonstick surface. The aluminum core provides rapid heat conduction, while the hard-anodized exterior increases the griddle's durability. The nonstick surface allows you to cook low-fat meals without using any oil or butter. The griddle includes a collector's edition recipe card. As with all nonstick surfaces, you should not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaners with the griddle; doing so could void the lifetime warranty. --Laura Cuthbert

Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan Reviews

I have upgraded my rating after using the pan every day for a month. I am giving it five stars because it is a tremendous value. I was too critical in my initial review. This is my first Calphalon pan. I purchased it primarily to use as an egg and breakfast fare pan. I wanted a good non-stick pan, because most of my other pans are stainless steel. I consider it a very good buy for the price. It has a very attractive design and the interior non-stick cooking surface appears to be very durable. However, the pan is slightly heavy and slow to reach the proper temperature compared to stainless steel. The manufacturer's enclosed brochure says the slow warm-up is due to the non-stick surface (true of most non-stick pans). Once it arrives at the required temperature, it performs very well. This aluminum pan is the equivalent of a permanently seasoned cast iron griddle. It produces foolproof omelets and the food never sticks. I use it to warmup chicken breasts and make grilled sandwiches too. It is the most used pan in the house, because of my passion for eggs. This product, like a few other Calphalon products I have examined, slipped past the quality control inspector. On my pan there is an interior area, smaller than a grain of rice, that was not sprayed with the non-stick coating. It is high enough on the pan where no one will ever cook on that spot, but it is there in plain sight. The lack of quality control may have something to do with the Calphalon pans being manufactured in third world countries - no offense intended. This pan is made in China. You would probably not have any trouble forgiving the stray blemish. Especially, when you consider this pan's beauty, functionality, and price. Here is my list of PROS and CONS for this purchase.PROS:
- Good price.
- Excellent non-stick surface - appears to be very durable too.
- Excellent stain resistant exterior.
- Cool & comfortable handle.
- Attractive appearance.
- Lifetime warranty.CONS:
- Slow to warm up, because of the non-stick surface.
- Fairly heavy pan - you won't flip anything without a spatula - think griddle.
- Quality control at Calphalon could be better.
- The handle is beautiful, but the finish on the handle and rivets are not as refined as some of the more expensive cookware brands. However, it has no impact on the cooking. Conclusion: Excellent pan for the price.

I picked up this Commercial Nonstick skillet along with several other pieces of Calphalon's open stock collection, and I have been impressed with every piece I've gotten. This is great for burgers as well as omeletes and pancakes. About the only "problem" with it is that I'm not accustomed quite yet to the high quality found in Calphalon, and I didn't expect the burgers to brown on a non-stick surface as quickly as they did, so I wound up with two rather rare burgers as a result of fearing that I would burn them. Now that I see how Calphalon's nonstick line cooks, I have had more success, and now I have beautifully cooked hamburgers every time.
This is nonstick, so you do have to treat it with kid gloves, but as long as you use nylon or wooden utensils, do not overheat the pan, and don't run it through the dishwasher, this pan should last you a lifetime. I'm so glad I bought this, because I know that Calphalon's line of Collector's Edition products are only available for a limited time each year. I'm glad I didn't miss out on this beauty before it was gone forever!

Earth Pan 10-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set Reviews

My wife and I have spent a lot of money in our life time buying pots and pans. Some even claims "life Time Warranty" and cost triple the price, but nothing last a life time, not even close. When it was time to purchase another set, I did a lot of research (for days). Consumers Report, Amazon.com, etc. Earth Pan received very good reviews over all and it was safe (no PTFEs or PFOAs)- we have young children.
The first few days, everything was fine. We read the instructions twice to make sure we followed everything to the letter.
Cons:
1. Non-stick: It still sticks, and depends on what you are cooking, cleaning up afterwards could still be time consuming.
2. Stainless steel handles gets very hot, so be careful, or get the plastic/rubber handle set.
3. Somehow when you get stains on the outside of the pots or pans, NO WAY of cleaning it off. I have research the internet and tried everything, and the stains are still there.
4. Like many other complaints about this set, yes, the pots are too small for everyday use. I agreed.
Pro:
1. Earth pan is well made and attractive.
2. Price is right.
If oneday the non-stick coating comes off (and they will, like all the other non sticks cookwares we ever own), I don't have to worry about harmful chemicals getting into our bodies (espically our kid's).
Update: 11/30/09
These pans are just as bad as the others. It sticks really bad after 3 months. I am so disappointed! Days of research and the "Consumers Report Rating" has not provided me with any satisfactions. Don't buy this. Really.

I've been using this product for about a month and haven't found anything I don't love about it. It is eco-friendly, it cleans up easily whether you wash it by hand or in dishwasher, and the stainless finish is really attractive. I've only used phosphate-free liquid diswasher product such as Palmolive Eco + and washing by hand any liquid product I have in stock. I had thrown out all teflon and silver brand coated products about a year ago due to possible toxins being in these products and have missed the non-stick cooking. The sandflow/ceramic coating seems really durable. I did make sure to purchase new cooking utensils (wooden spoons, high temp silicone spatula, and thongs with silicone tips.

Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 17-Piece Cookware Set Reviews

For the price of this product, the Farberware Classic line cannot be beat! The variety of pot and skillet sizes available, along with interchangeable lids, is a real plus in my kitchen. Clean up is easy and required storage space is minimal. The first set I owned for 23 years. This new set was a treat to myself since my oldest is moving out to set up his own household...with my old Farberware!

I had put these on my wish list as a future splurge and was surprised and pleased when my hubbie bought them for me for my birthday last month! (LOVE that other folks can see my wish list!) I have owned Farberware before, but, only one or two pans...after twenty years or so, a handle had loosened, a pan lid was missing, etc. but they were still going strong! I don't think you can get a better quality of cookware at this price! (I had looked at other brands of aluminum clad stainless steel cookware and found they were HUNDREDS of dollars!) I have a ceramic cooktop and have found that many of the pots and pans I've tried have warped immediately and were instantly useless on the ceramic top (where things have to be perfectly flat to work). Not so with these pots and pans! They stay flat and heat up quickly. This set has a nice variety of sizes (my only complaint is that it doesn't contain a 6 quart stock pot). The lids fit well and the pots and pans have wonderful rings on the handles that allow hanging on any pot rack! The skillets are small, but, really good (the non-stick surface is thick and the pans heat up well and clean up easily). The set also came with three stainless bowls with plastic covers (perfect for chilling cookie dough), also with rings for hanging. I am pleasantly surprised as well by the baking pan. I usually use glass, but, my lemon bars baked up very nicely in this pan. The cookie sheet, though extremely small, is also impressive. It doesn't warp under high heat and I have used it for making garlic toast and as a pan under pies and breads with no problem. In fact, I plan to put Farberware cookie sheets on my wish list next! If you a looking to replace pots and pans, or, want to give someone you love a much appreciated gift that will last for years and years, I recommend this wonderful set!

Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Lid Reviews

I've owned this pan for about two years ... it's simply wonderful. The Calphalon Commercial line is the top of the line, just like the Professional, but with stay-cool handles. The thick, sturdy aluminum heats up quickly and evenly, and goes from the stovetop to the oven up to any temperature. My favorite dish to make with this pan is a large omelette for two to four people. You saute the onions, etc., until carmelized, then add the whipped eggs, top it with diced tomatoes, basil, oregano and cheeses, then broil at about 450 for a couple minutes until browned. Simply wonderful!I also cook stir frys, poach fish, bake casseroles, and brown meats in this truly Everyday Pan.Now, for the issues: As with all true Calphalon products, you can not put hard-anodized aluminum into the dishwasher. It will damage the surface, leading to pits and discolorations, and void the lifetime warranty to boot! Second, this is not a nonstick pan. If you want nonstick, buy Calphalon Commercial Nonstick, the best ever made (The Commercial nonstick line has the more advanced LRS3 coating versus the much less effective LRS coating on the cheaper Professional Nonstick II line). To clean, simply buy a Dobie pad or its equivalent. For the tough stuff, I find a little Bon Ami or Dormond cleaner does the trick without too much effort.Enjoy!

The Calphalon Commercial line is ideal for those who want quality cookware that's guaranteed for life and pretty much indestructible. My absent-minded-bachelor kitchen contains nothing that cannot withstand all manner of accidents, falls, and spills. The Calphalon Commercial line enables me to cook like a pro without endangering my cookware--and to clean like a fiend when I've cooked like a pyro by accident.
You can clean these pans with abrasive cleansers like Comet. I used to sell them in a boutiquey store where they'd have come back in droves if we'd misinformed people on this point. Another reviewer expresses appropriate caution regarding putting them in the dishwasher--it's for dishes, silly, not knives of pots--but I do this on occasion and it would take regular dishwashing with powdered (sandblasted in there) detergent and lotsa stuff to bang the pans to really do a number on them. Discoloration is not the stuff of diminished utility. Aside from the line being the most practical stove top option bar none, the pan is a dream. Not so shallow as an omelette pan, nor so deep as a wok, it does the range from stir-fry to saute, to bake and roast. I'd recommend this pan to anyone who maybe wants to start a cookware collection--it's so many pans in one. I used to sell this stuff (not on commission, mind you) to students with their first apartment. Moms and dads would express concern that the kids would ruin it--au contraire: you get a ten dollar pan and it'll be beaten to bits in a matter of weeks by the likes of careless ol' me, but you get a heavy, solid pan like this, they'd have to be trying to break it. Cautions:
-Lower the heat if you're used to inferior pans. If you get this pan and find yourself saying, "It burns everything," you're conveniently forgetting who chose the heat on that burner.
-It's not non stick--and they *do* sell the best non stick--but it is highly stick resistant, especially if you LOWER THE HEAT.
-The handles can get HOT so be sure you're armed with a potholder of any sort.

I got these as part of our wedding registry here on Amazon and with about 2 months of use I am very happy with this set. More so than any other set of pots/pans that I own.
Here are some pro's:
1 - The non-stick is truly non-stick and so easy to use. The fact that the outside is non-stick also makes cleaning up easy.
2 - The handle really does stay cool, even near the edge on gas burners
3 - The size of all 9 pieces are very convenient
4 - Easy to wash due to non-stick and dishwasher safe
5 - Thermospots assists in cooking evenly
6 - Oven safe
Great price and value.

This cookware is a great value. They are certainly non-stick, even egg and burned breadcrumbs come off easily. The non-stick surface is also durable and has not become scratched in the year and a half I've owned them.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover Reviews

Let me start off by saying that my main cookware set is the Anolon Titanium set that cost 9 when we got it in 2003. I love these pans because they are heavy-duty, nonstick because of the titanium, and dishwasher safe because of the titanium. Well, I wanted to add an "everyday" sort of pan to my collection because the Anolon set is VERY heavy and takes up lots of space, so I wanted something a little ligher weight for easier handling, but still large enough to cook for larger dinner parties AND easy to clean. So we looked at 12" pans and skillets and we decided on this one, the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick Hard Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Cover.
For what you get in this set...the 12" pan and the covered lid...you cannot beat the price for the quality. For one, it uses a "quantanium" coating for its nonstick base...this is basically a nonstick coating reinforced with titanium, so it can withstand higher temps (oven safe to 500 degrees) and is scratch resistent. I don't use metal utensils anyway, so I can't attest to this...but it has been great so far!
The nonstick is great...makes clean up easy, which is very important to me as free time is very scarce in this household! I haven't thrown the pan into the dishwasher, but the lid gets tossed in and it's been fine. The pan itself cleans so easily that just a soapy nonabrasive sponge is all it takes to get the pan to brand new condition.
The pan also heats up very evenly. I cooked sauteed chicken in the pan and every single piece was evenly cooked. The pieces on the edges of the pan was just as cooked as the ones in the middle of pan. Makes for great cooking when you don't have to fuss about repositioning the food every few minutes for even heat distribution!
I also love the short handles because I always bump into the longer skillet handles when I'm cooking up a storm and I don't bump into this pan. I can also use this on the back burners too because of the short handles. You just can't "toss" your food like you can with a skillet. Use a towel or oven mitt when you touch the handles or the lid because they do get hot...but that's fine with me anyway because I don't like getting hot grease splattered on my hands anyway!
Overall, I am very impressed with this pan, and at a fraction of the price of similar items and nowhere near the cost of my Anolon Titanium set, it's a bargain!

I would say the pan is a little lighter than the Calaphon 'Commercial' everyday pan (with no non-stick surface). However, remarkably, the 'Chef's Classic' claims to be oven safe up to 500 degrees while the Calphalon maxes out at 450 degrees. (Amazon's in-house brand, the Pinzon, only promises a paltry 350 degrees.)
The glass lid could only charitably be described as 'medium dome' and is not as high as its stainless steel counterpart.
To reviewers concerned about cleaning...no anodized aluminum pan should ever be placed in the dishwasher. If the exterior of the pan becomes spattered with cooked on food, I would say the use of a paste of baking soda or 'Barkeeper's Friend' might help. It does help that the pan will fit flat in a standard sink for easy cleanup with mild dish detergent and warm water. One key is to dry the pan immediately after washing.
With its titanium-reinforced, non-stick surface, metal utensils may be used; however, since the surface is truely non-stick, why take the chance of gouges?
The cast steel, Cuisinart embossed handles are smaller than those on other 'Chef's Classic' pans, but should not present a problem as long as the cook does not overfill the pan.
All-in-all, this remains an amazing 'buy' at less than .

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Dome Cover Reviews

This pretty well completes my collection of Chef's Classic cookware. It arrived nicely packaged and undamaged. I have a small range so I particularly favor this pan over the long-handled 12" skillet with helper handle. Cleanup is also easier since the pan, without the longer handle, will sit flat in the sink.
I continue to believe that, other than All-Clad (USA), Calphalon Contemporary (China), and Anolon Advanced (Thailand), there is no better brand of stainless steel cookware. The reader should note that the first 3 have an aluminum core wrapped by stainless on each side and, unsurprisingly, each is far more expensive than the Cuisinart Chef's Classic line, with its heavy aluminum bottom disk.
This pan, at .95, is a bargain that will not last much longer. It should make a wonderful Christmas gift to the most discerning of chefs.

I've had this product for a month now, from Amazon. Thank You!
This pan is great for casseroles, paella, chicken & dumplings, veal marsala, etc. It's manufactured to the same standards as the rest of the Classic line, with the exception of the handles. If one inspects the image closely, it's obvious that the width of the handles parallel to the rim are narrower than that of the helper handles on companion products; however this does allow more space for oven mitts and potholders, which I enjoy as it's generally a single move from oven to table.
Of particular note, the cost of a domed twelve inch lid of this diameter direct from Cuisinart is alone. The lid on this pan will fit any Cuisinart Classic pan with a model number ending in "-30" including the twelve inch frying pan and the 5.5 quart saut? pan. So if one needs to gain head space, allow for expansion, or configure an ad hoc Dutch Oven this is a bargain price.
For this product, I consider the lid to be less than half price and the pan to be free. I'm now a satisfied owner of twenty-four pieces of the Cuisinart Classic line. This may be the last, depending upon what Amazon presents in the future.

Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie Pan
We think the best brownies have moist centers, a paper - thin crackly crust, and lots of chewy edges. If you agree, you'll love the Edge Brownie Pan - it's the only gourmet brownie pan that adds two chewy edges to every brownie! The award-winning design also improves baking performance by circulating heat evenly to the pan's middle, where food typically takes longer to bake. The Edge Brownie Pan has a single baking chamber that allows brownie batter to settle evenly, and the 9" x 12" size is a perfect fit for box mixes, as well as most recipes for 9" x 9" and 9" x 13" conventional pans. A durable nonstick coating makes it easy to clean, and the recessed handles are an easy grab when the pan is turned upside down. Widely acclaimed for its innovation and quality since its launch in 2006, the Edge Brownie Pan has quickly become a best-seller - and has garnered rave reviews from bakers everywhere. The Edge Brownie Pan is 100% made in the USA, and each pan comes complete with a flexible nylon spatula and a brownie recipes insert.
- Adds two chewy edges to every brownie.
- Fits standard box mixes with no adjustments necessary.
- One continuous chamber, so batter can be easily spread.
- Durable nonstick coating and heavy gauge cast aluminum construction.
- Made in the USA, nylon spatula and brownie recipes included.

Baker's Edge Nonstick Edge Brownie Pan Reviews

When I was first married over 30 years ago, I remember my mom saying that even if it seemed extravagant, it was worth it to buy quality cookware. So listening to mom, we used our wedding gift money and bought the top of the line cookware. I am still using that same dutch oven, sauce pan, and skillet, and right now I think they will probably last longer than I will!
Well, when I first saw the price of the Baker's Edge Pan, I hesitated. I knew the concept of the pan was terrific. I read all the reviews, and I really felt the design of the pan would produce better brownies, breads, casseroles, and just about anything I wanted to try.
Well, I remembered my mom's advice and decided to purchase the pan. It has exceeded my expectations as far as even cooking, perfect pieces, nice edges, and even beautiful presentation.
In addition, the quality of the pan is amazing. When I think of how many cheap 9x13 pans I have bought over the years, I knew I should have applied my mom's cookware rule to bakeware. Most baking pans warp over time or cook unevenly because they are so thin. This pan is unbelievable as far as quality construction. I feel it was a very economical purchase because with proper care it should last forever! I can't imagine needing a replacement. However, since the pan is so versatile, I would readily purchase another one - using one for a main dish casserole and another for dessert! I sincerely recommend this pan for your bakeware collection

In our house, we're always fighting over the brownies at the edges and corners (no one likes the gooey parts.) With this pan, we all get what we want. Plus, I can add walnuts to my portion without impacting anyone else's part. I tried the banana bread recipe that came with the baker's edge this week and it's a very good recipe. You need to treat the pan gently, so no metal implements, and no metal scrubbers. I wish there were more products like this.
