We all like to have convenience in the kitchen right? Well sometimes there is a price to pay for that added convenience and this is not just about the extra money you would be paying, this is about you paying for the convenience with your health. Would you like to risk your health just to save a little time in the kitchen? Do you have pets in your home? Would you like your pets to be healthy too? Not understanding the dangers that are hidden within your kitchen may lead you vulnerable to avoidable health problems or even death. Many are aware of this but some may not know the full story behind all the chemicals involved with making Teflon. There are safer alternatives to non stick cookware as they are eliminating certain chemicals that are found to be the major health risk. Check around with manufacturers of non stick cookware and see if the products they offer have no risk. Do your research online before making any final decisions. I will always prefer stainless steel due to the purity. Always look for the best grade stainless steel cookware that is non porous!

  1. @phuturephunk Well some nonstick pans are able to withstand metal utensils better than other pans/coatings but yeah not using metal is best. Unless you absolutely need to. Make sure it is safer with metal utensil usage though. And I agree with the stainless steel being used if you use it right. I say save the nonstick for eggs, fish, other delicate foods and sticky foods.

  2. @BartImpson That’s functionally correct. Teflon is fine you just have to cook properly. You can’t let stuff burn hard and you cannot use metal utensils. I have one for quick breakfast stuff but it really helps to learn how to use stainless steel and if you’re really rolling in the dough you can buy ceramic non stick pans.

  3. dude do your dishes though seriously

  4. @kwasifug88 Aluminum? LOL they make pans out of that? thats more dangerous than teflon

  5. @WRETCHEDxSINNER It is not only safe, but good for you.

  7. fuck off, everything causes cancer anyway

  8. thanks for the info!
I was debating to get non stick cookware or stainless steel one..now am much clearer :)

  9. Well isn’t teflon only dangerous when you misuse it? Like using heat over medium, metal utentsils on the coating that isn’t metal utensil safe, and nonstick oil spray. From what I read about teflon coated pans, it’s only dangerous if you abuse it.
