Are you tired of paying high broadband bills? Maybe things are financially tight, at present. Some types of broadband, like satellite, may just be too expensive. You do not have to pay for Internet access.

There are several ways that you can hook up online, for no charge. One way is to borrow a wireless signal. Suppose you are interested in baking deserts. Do you buy several cake decorating books, when you can borrow them at the library? Most newer laptops have built in wireless Internet adapters. Take your portable computer to one of many public places. You will find free wireless Internet. There are many places available.

Do you live in a close neighborhood? Maybe you are in an apartment complex. There may be several wireless routers working, at any given time. Most people do not password protect their wireless networks. No one will notice, if you do not use a lot of bandwidth. Only use the Internet for email and surfing. This will work if your online needs are simple. Yet, you may consider this to be dishonest.

Ask your neighbor if you can borrow the signal occasionally. Offer to only use it when no one else is online. Even if your neighbor uses a password, you still may get to use it. Your conscious can be clear.

There are ways to receive free dial up Internet access. However, it will be much slower than broadband. For example, you may enjoy off road bicycling. If you are used to a Schwinn mountain bike, a normal bicycle, may no longer be good enough. Free dial up may be slow, but it is still free. Some servers offer ten hours a month, for no charge. There may be ads, and you will need a land line phone. It may serve you needs, at least temporarily.

Free dial up is good for emergency use. You may find yourself without your broadband connection, from time to time. It is nice to access the Internet for chat, email, and browsing. Even though it is slow, it is still Internet.
