First of all, I purchased this on woot.com on hearing that the headset would be free after the $[...] mail in rebate. ($ x2 (postage)) So for roughly $3 per headset, i figured why not?
When it comes down to a product, it either works great or doesn’t. To me, it all comes down to sound quality. This product falls FLAT on it’s face. When paired with my samsung nc-10 notebook, I noticed that the microphone records in monaural quality: flat, dullish tone with very low depth in tones. My samsung nc-10 has a BETTER BUILT-IN MICROPHONE!
I purchased this so that i could annotate documents using the voice recognition software in microsoft or Dragon Naturally Speaking 10. (haven’t tried this yet)
I tested the sound quality through Audacity (freeware audio recording) and it confirmed that even when changing the recording quality from 11,000 Hz (low quality = saves disk space) to 44,100 (High quality = CD quality stereo sound) the sound quality did not improve.
Is it worth $[...]? NO. My siblings both own Jawbone bluetooth headsets that range sell for around $60-70 and those are definitely worth the price tag if you demand high quality communication. Some might look at this review and say that i’m expecting too much from this headset. I’ll counter with this: If you are going to communicate, at least make it a pleasurable experience so that you can hear the other human connection on the other end.
For $3 it works.
Pro
-It’s a bluetooth headset
-6 hours of talk time!!!!
-On/Off button switch makes it easy to save battery life.
-Solid build
Con
-Headset is worth $5.
-Monaural microphone = low tonal dynamic range
-Microphone needs to be more sensitive to pick up richer sound quality. I found that holding the microphone 2 inches from the side of your face works better than being on your ear.
-Slightly stiff earpiece, but once it’s on, you forget about it.

Great sound! BUT if you carry this thing in your pocket, be forewarned…. If you bump the button/switch it activates voice dialing. That is great except the button isn’t recessed or protected from inadvertent activation. It then dials someone in your phone book and they hear everything that you are doing until they quit listening and hang up…. yeah, think about that a minute.
This happened with my phone calling two of my customers and I had no idea. At least I didn’t know it until my perturbed customers called me to let me know it was happening (4 times for each). Kind of hard on goodwill.

I bought this for my sister-in-law and it’s pretty good at what it does – allows you to talk handsfree. Is it better than the Jawbone – NO! The Jawbone Prime and the Jawbone II is miles better when it comes to noise suppression. Heck, I can talk with my car windows down, car radio blasting, and my wife can still hear me on my Jawbone Prime. This Samsung WEP470 cannot do that, but without the windows all the way down and the radio not blaring, it’s a fine unit. You will like this if you just need a quality bluetooth headset that you can make handsfree calls from. I like it, especially for the price that I got it for. Would I trade it for either my or my wife’s Jawbones? NO! However, it is fine if you just want a low price headset. For under $30.00, this is probably the best you can get. Just stop bashing the Jawbones!!!

The ear clip is very uncomfortable. I cannot just put on this headset and forget I am wearing it because it makes my ear sore after a while.
Also, even at max volume it is not very loud. I have to push the headset into my ear with my hand to hear better.

Gave my review a 5, though I agree with many of the other writers that the ear hook is not the most sturdy, but I was expecting that. I just use care when putting it on and have not had any issue yet. Just avoid putting it in your pocket and you will probably be ok. Plus seven bucks for some extra ear hooks would not be devastating. Still better than spending well over this price for some other products.
I have owned the device for about two weeks and am really happy with its performance for the price. Good sound (have not tried much outdoors yet though). Love all the lights, a light to show me when charge is complete and various colors (blue to purple to red) to show me how much charge is remaining.
The main reasons I bought the blue tooth is actually for health/safety (not a fan of holding a cell phone to my brain) and convenience (no hands is great).
