The Best Anti Aging Products Aren’t The Best. Why?

Women who are beginning to see the first signs of skin ageing on their face often spend so much time searching for the very best anti aging products on the market.

There is no requirement for the FDA to test to see whether ingredients used in anti ageing products are safe for people to put on their skin. So the manufacturers use these ingredients because they can, and because they're cheap.

But if that describes you and you're searching for the best anti aging products you need to ask yourself a preliminary question before deciding if the products work well. You need to ask yourself whether those anti aging skin care products are safe to use.

The reason is that there is a massive range of chemical ingredients that are found in in almost all of the big name skin care products you might even be using right now. Oof those ingredients is named Propylene Glycol and it's Propylene Glycol that I would like to tell you about today.

You may have some Propylene Glycol in your car right now because it's the principal component of antifreeze that goes in car radiators. The EPA suggests that people working with Propylene Glycol wear protective clothing including gloves and goggles to avoid it coming into contact with their skin.

And yet, according to the Cosmetic Safety Database, Propylene Glycol is found in 945 anti aging moisturizers, 1118 facial treatments and 690 general anti aging products as well as a wide range of other personal and bath products as well as cosmetics.

And you will also see that it is linked to cancer, allergies and immunotoxicity, developmental and reproductive toxicity and skin irritation as well as other worrying health conditions.

Maybe the glossy advertising tells you that those skin care products are the best anti aging products on the market, but if they happen to contain Propylene Glycol then I would avoid them like the plague, and the same applies to a wide range of other chemical ingredients.

They are found in our products because the FDA is not required to satisfy itself about the safety of any ingredients used in these products, and so the manufacturers put them there because these ingredients are very cheap, and they can get away with it.`The FDA does not have to satisfy itself that any ingredients used in anti aging products are safe for people to apply to their skin. The manufacturers use these chemical ingredients because they are cheap and because they can.

So if you're a woman noticing those first signs and symptoms of ageing skin what do you do? Do you avoid all anti ageing products and skin care products and just accept the fact of wrinkles? No.

There are small companies that compete in this massive market but which have a demonstrated ethical commitment to making high quality products using ingredients that are known to be safe (and highly effective at aging skin care).

One of these companies in particular makes extremely high quality products. They use natural ingredients all known to be safe and which are also known to have excellent skin care properties but these natural ingredients are very very expensive.

So you'd have to assume that their anti aging skin care products are also highly expensive but in fact they aren't. These companies cannot afford to factor the costs of television advertising and magazine advertising into the price of the product so they choose not to advertise and so these costs are not included in the price as they are for the big name brands making these products very price competitive.

So there is good news. You really can find high quality (and safe) anti aging products that work extremely well but the chances are very high that the company that makes them is one that you've never heard of. If you do then you might be surprised at how well these products work.
