But for adults that who have never had it, there are a few reasons why your having it now, though it can be disputable. Stress, bad cosmetics, hormones and birth control pills. Stress causes your oil glands to overcompensate. Bad cosmetics lead to bacteria-laden pores. Hormones cause the sebacuous glands to overact and birth control pills with androgen in them can cause breakouts. But hormones is a well known reason as to why we get adult acne. 1. dermatologists concentrate primarily on the skin when it comes to adult acne causes. They focus on dry skin with sebum and the clogged pores. Clogged pores lead to sebum build-up and bacterial infections. Unfortunately failing to understand the deeper cause, results in treatment failures. The adult acne is caused by toxins and waste products that build within your body (guess I should not be eating junk food then huh?). The body can not get rid of this properly. The normal ways to get rid of food and drink that you consume, is threw the liver, kidneys, colon intestines and other various organs. But if they are not strong enough or if your immune system is low acne will show up. No if’s and’s or but’s about it, your body has to get rid of the toxins so it will take it out on your skin causing acne.
2. A lot of the time women will get adult acne cause its about that time of the month. She will start to show zits just before her period. The cause of this is because the male hormone, progesterone, begins to rise while the female hormone, estrogen, begins to decline. The sebaceous gland then starts to make more oil.

4. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or Polycystic Ovarian Disease is a commonly misdiagnosed condition in women. A lot of women do not know that they even have this disease and it affects 6-10% of women. Absent periods is the common sign for the disease or syndrome and acne will always show up when this happens. Women who have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, suffer greatly from hormonal imbalances, when treated the acne will clear up.
5. Women going threw and even after menopause will unfortunately get adult acne as well. It is not common but not unheard of for those in their forties fifties and even older to get it. Most of the time it is mild but it is still annoying. Didn’t you already go threw this when you were a kid?

7. Chemicals that contain chlorine like herbicides will cause a a type of rash. So do not get exposed to these.

They say do not touch your hands to your face for a reason especially when they are dirty. Or wearing a back pack for a long time will cause chafing. This is called acne mechanica.
Don’t treat adult acne like the teen acne, look for medicated cleansers with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Exfoliate with a salicylicacid treatment, which will clean out pores. Just don’t exfoliate too much or scrub too hard. Some good news is though, Cheese and chocolate have nothing to do with your acne.
